Plate Lithography

This two day course covers the practicalities of printing from aluminium lithography plates.

Participants will experience transferring drawings directly onto the plate using oxide paper, and explore drawing techniques using lithography pencils, crayons and tusche washes to create different marks and effects.

The preparation of fine art printing paper, together with registration techniques for printing will also be taught. Using APW’s manual and electric lithography presses, participants will learn how to produce and print their own original prints.

Parking is restricted around APW. Public transport is a convenient alternative.
