Special guest speaker: Gerry Butler, Butterfly Conservation SA.

Gerry Butler has been involved with lots of grassroots community organisations. He is a Life Member of Landcare SA and acting Chair of Butterfly Conservation SA (now in it's 25th year).

He was recently awarded a Certificate of Commendation for Conservation at the State Environment Awards for his work integrating STEAM experts in new ways of communicating our wonderful natural world.

Gerry will speak to us about butterflies here in Adelaide, the special relationships between butterflies and habitat plants, and urban stresses. He will draw on his experience engaging with community members young and old to have a role in protecting our environment and ensuring community has a voice. And share his work with Butterfly Conservation SA focussed on engaging community in the story of the Chequered Copper butterfly.

Plus there will be plenty of time for questions.
