POWER TO PRAXIS: A REFLEXIVE PRACTICE WORKSHOP FOR DECOLONIAL DESIGN
Brisbane / Meanjin
Tuesday 15 September 2026
1:00pm – 4:00pm AEST
Brisbane Square Library
266 George Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000
About the Workshop
Projects are never neutral. They are shaped by funding priorities, organisational pressures, partnership structures and historical power relationships.
Using the Power to Praxis reflection cards and Companion Guide, this workshop creates space to examine how power operates across the project cycle and how practitioners can strengthen participation, accountability and community-led practice.
Through facilitated dialogue, reflection exercises and card-based activities, participants will explore the assumptions, relationships and institutional dynamics that influence their work and identify practical ways to move from intention to action.
Whether you are designing a project, managing a programme, facilitating partnerships or supporting organisational change, this workshop offers practical tools and reflective questions to strengthen your practice.
No prior knowledge of Power to Praxis is required, and you do not need to own the cards to participate.
