Powerswitch Pop In 5.30pm
Event description
EA Networks, your local lines company, is passionate about helping people in our community reduce their electricity costs.
Powerswitch by Consumer is a free and independent service that helps you work out which power company and pricing plan is the cheapest for you. In this session we will use the computers in the Library's Learning Lab to explore www.powerswitch.org.nz.
Jessica Harris from EA Networks will demonstrate how to work through the Powerswitch website so you can find the best electricity plan for your home. She can also complete 1:1 Powerswitch calculations, if you bring along a recent electricity bill.
This session is suited to those who are internet savvy as well as those who need extra support when navigating the digital world.
If you've been thinking about potentially changing power providers or wanting to get a better deal, but just haven't got round to looking into it or don't know where to start - then come along to this free workshop! You'll get independent advice and help to get things sorted.
The session starts at 5.30pm but you can pop in when it works for you. Jess will be there to help you with Powerswitch until 6.30pm. If you plan on coming, please let us know by getting your free ticket/ registering, so we know how many to expect. A repeat pop in event is on earlier in the day from 1pm - 2pm - get tickets for the 1pm event here.
