    Event description

During this time of year, it is natural to reflect on change and the truth of impermanence, as well as our own mortality. We can do this in a way that is empowering and even transformative, helping us become more alive to the present moment.

In this half day of practice, we will explore contemplation of death as a traditional body practice which can reduce our strong attachment to this body.

The teachings offered will be influenced by Bhikkhu Analayo's work, especially as related to Satipatthana practice. It may sound counterintuitive, yet he says recollection of death brings him a lot of joy. It is a great way to learn how to let go more and also see where we still tend to cling.

There will be guided meditations, short dharma talks, and time for discussion and sharing.
