Our purpose is to normalise, de-stigmatise and challenge the silence around death topics to educate and empower individuals, remove fears and soften grief. A space that allows for open, unbiased and heart-centred conversations that are approachable. To address the end of life more consciously so we can be better prepared for death and loss. This allows us to then live life with full presence, mindfulness and with a whole heart.

because Melissa has witnessed with many of her clients, those transitioning death, dying and grief - that many are afraid to talk about death, many fear their own mortality and grief is often experienced as devastation.

It truly doesn’t have to be this way!

Melissa aims to encourage us all to go on a curious self-discovery journey together, to help you uncover your truths creating a safe space to ask those curious questions we don't dare ask so you can feel reassured and know, there truly is nothing to fear!

Open conversations enable us to engage in light discussions, share ideas, ask questions and raise any concerns you may have without fear or judgement about death, dying, grief and even spirituality. Together we can learn and grow.


MEET YOUR HOST

At Rising Strong Holistic Healing, founder Melissa Newman serves as a compassionate End-of-Life Consultant and Counselor. After years of empowering individuals through various mental health challenges, Melissa has integrated her extensive professional training and life experiences into her most heartfelt work: supporting the community as a Death Doula.

What is a Death Doula?
A Death Doula aims to support and empower families to plan, prepare and transition peacefully one of life's most challenging moments associated with death, dying, grief and spirituality with empathy, respect and dignity.

Melissa values and empowers individual choice and control with EOL transitions. Offering an Holistic Wellness Care approach, compassionate service with the whole person in mind addressing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects as individually needed. Heart-centred support for families that provides reassurance, companionship and comfort during difficult times.

FREE FORUMS
Are for those who feel curious to ask those questions we don't dare ask associated with death, dying, grief and spirituality. To help demystify myths, debunk misconceptions and release any fears we might have, as we normalise, de-stigmatise and challenge the silence around death topics.

This is an opportunity to join open and enriching conversations connecting with the community over light refreshments each month. Complimentary to all, often with no real main topic agenda, yet is a safe space for all to engage as desired because Melissa knows that with knowledge, mindfulness including preparation we can lessen many stresses and fear experienced along this path of Death, Dying and Grief.
