Advanced Practice: Predominant Aggressor Identification - Online Delivery
Description
Predominant Aggressor Identification - Online is a comprehensive two half-day workshop sessions to support experienced practitioners to strengthen their capacity to accurately identify the predominant aggressor in family violence contexts. This works to reduce the risk of misidentification, which can have serious and lasting consequences for victim survivors.
Drawing on current Australian evidence and international best practice, the training explores the dynamics of coercive control, manipulation, and systems misuse that often obscure patterns of harm.
Participants will develop practical skills to assess risk, challenge narratives that minimise or distort responsibility, and apply structured approaches to identifying perpetrator behaviour. The workshop emphasises the importance of accountability, safety, and ethical decision-making, while supporting practitioners to navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.
This session is designed for experienced professionals across family violence, mental health, AOD, and related service systems who are responsible for assessment, risk management, and intervention planning.
