Description
The lead-up to Christmas can feel like a rush.
This is an invitation to slow down instead.
Join me at my home in The Gap for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll give a humble glass jar new life as your own Christmas lantern.
Bring a glass jar you’d otherwise toss or forget about. Instead of ending up in landfill, it becomes something beautiful and meaningful. So along with a morning well spent, you’re also doing something good for the environment.
No screens, no to-do lists, no rush. You’ll leave with a lantern of your own—a glowing reminder that something can be given new life, even when you think its time is over.
At a glance
Where: The Gap, Brisbane 4061 (exact address sent upon booking)
Places: Limited to 6 per session (minimum of 4 for the workshop to proceed)
Investment: $49 per person/session, including lantern materials, tea and nibbles
How the morning unfolds
Arrive and settle with a warm cuppa as we gently ease into the guided experience. We will take our time prepping your jar and creating your design with paper napkins and sealant, before adding the finishing touches with jute string.
While the jars cure, we will enjoy a shared morning tea and a relaxed sharing circle.
At the end, you are welcome to stay for a short, optional breathwork session so your nervous system enjoys a gentle reset as well.
Please bring your own glass jar
Choose a jar you’d like to upcycle. A 300ml or 500ml jar works well, or something slightly larger. There’s no need to stress about getting the size exactly right.
Please make sure it is:
Clean
Label-free (all labels and sticky residue removed)
De-greased (washed well so there’s no oily film)
A clean jar makes a big difference to how your lantern turns out. If you’d like me to provide a jar for you, just let me know when you book.
