Pride Pledge : Rainbow Inclusion Policy on the Global Stage Networking & Collab Meeting

Event description

Join us for our September Pride Pledge Networking & Collaboration Meeting : Rainbow Inclusion Policy on the Global Stage. We are holding this event in person in Auckland and online for anyone else to join who can't make it in person.

This is a chance to come together to discuss learn, share, and debate the responsibilities of global organisations (both NZ owned and globally owned operating in NZ) at ensuring Rainbow Inclusion doesn't stop at your front door.

Global research shows that organisations are not doing enough (or anything) when it comes to clear policy, procedures and measures for rainbow employees on the global stage. This applies to travel, mobility, conferences and events and operating in judications with no legal recognition of rainbow rights or worse, with anti queer and trans laws.

Rainbow employees already hide who they are in our workplaces every day, but on the global stage this is becomes a key safety and wellbeing risk for our people along with an attraction and retention issue with a lack of clear policy and supports.

This event will be facilitated by Martin King (he/him) Pride Pledge Director. It will be open to discussion and we want to hear concerns, experiences and lessons as we work together for a world that is safer for our rainbow employees tomorrow!

These events are FREE and open to anyone from a Pride Pledge organisation to participate in as part of our 'community of practice'  Please limit attendees per organisation to less than 5 for capacity and catering purposes for the in-person event.

Please note there is no onsite parking for this event, however there is the Les Mills carpark next door in Wellesley Street which has casual parking. Any questions, please email martin@pridepledge.co.nz

This event is proudly hosted and supported by Pride Pledge Partners Les Mills International.
