Event description

2 hour workshop of nature connection with forest bathing therapy, including:

  • Orientation to Mountain Creek, acknowledgement of country and sensory grounding
  • Guided sequence of relational forest therapy practices by ANFT certified guide
  • Vegan, gluten free snack and forest tea ritual
  • group size maximum of 5 *for a larger group please get in touch to arrange
We'll come together under the trees to share in activities that awaken our senses and help us remember and develop our relationship the Earth. 

Research shows that these practices can help us find joy, calm, peace and awe in our experience of life by encouraging curiosity, motivation and a renewed commitment to the Earth. 
This small group guided session for just your family or friends is in partnership with the beautiful open woodlands and large tributary of Mooloolah River, Mountain Creek on Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi country / Sunshine Coast.

Held Outside Nature Connection Experiences 

is run by Jay Ridgewell, a nature therapy guide, science educator and communicator. For more information, including answers to questions such as "What happens on a nature therapy walk?", "Is there scientific proof that it's good for us?" and "What should I wear?!" visit the Held Outside website.

Mountain Creek Recreational Trail 

is 1.5 hour drive north of Brisbane, 10 minute drive from Mooloolaba,  and accessible by bus route numbers 614 - link to Translink). The path at Mountain Creek is mostly flat. There aren't any toilets on the trail, and there's not guaranteed 'bush wee' privacy. The closest toilets are at Glenfields Neighbourhood Park nearby.

Sunshine Coast Regional Council permit: CUL210040. Insurances and Wilderness First Aid certified.
