Event description

On March 22, ANU LRSJ (Law Reform & Social Justice) and ANU LSS (Law Students' Society) will be co-hosting a community information session on protest rights, protest safety and legal observing.

The session will provide: 

  • information on your rights when protesting and interacting with police in the ACT
  • a guide to physical, digital and cultural safety at protests
  • a training presentation on legal observing. 

We will be joined by a criminal defence lawyer from Legal Aid ACT, and there will be opportunity to ask any questions regarding protest rights, protest safety or legal observing.
