Experience the vibrant culture of Easter Island as Puku Rangi Tea tours for the first time in Marlborough to closing the Welcoming Week Celebration!

Since 2012, they have been dedicated to preserving and showcasing traditional Rapa Nui music and dance. Their vibrant performances include the Hoko warrior dance, resonating with the spirit of the Māori Haka, storytelling through Takona body painting and ancestral narratives, Kai Kai string games and the rhythmic sounds of Tahitian ukulele and drums.

Puku Rangi Tea currently performs three shows a week at the Tahatai Hotel in Hanga Roa, Rapa Nui, and has participated in various festivals around the world throughout its history.

The tour holds significant cultural importance due to Rapa Nui deep ancestral connections with Aotearoa, offering a unique opportunity for cultural engagement and community connection.

We are also excited to feature the local guest band "Matices", who will open the concert with a vibrant performance of live Andean and Latin American music and M.A.D Marlborough Dance Academy: showcasing their Mega Crew before they head off to represent Marlborough internationally in Australia and Prague!
