Qigong at Alae - Weekly Qigong in Leith, Edinburgh
Description
✨ Qigong for All is a gentle, accessible movement practice supporting balance, vitality, presence and ease in body and mind.
Please note: **Spaces are limited - booking is essential**
Drawing on Taoist Qigong principles and forms gathered through many years of practice, these classes combine flowing movement, breath, stillness and mindful awareness. The emphasis is not on performance or fitness, but on listening to the body, cultivating our inner resources, and exploring movement within our own range of ease.
Sessions are beginner-friendly, and movements can be adapted to different bodies, abilities and levels of experience. You’re invited to move at your own pace and rest whenever you need.
We begin with a gentle warm-up before exploring a combination of still and moving Qigong forms, such as Vertical Alignment, Showering Qi, Flying Phoenix and Lotus Rises Through the Water, alongside meditative breathing and relaxation practices.
No two sessions are quite the same. We draw from a rich Qigong toolkit, allowing space to respond to the energy of the group and the day.
🌟 Classes run weekly on Mondays from 14 September to 21 December 2026, and you’re welcome to join at any time. 🌟

About the Teacher
Classes are guided by Evi Tsiligaridou, founder of Numinous Flow and a Qigong practitioner with almost 20 years of experience.

The Space & Accessibility
Classes take place at Alae, 100B Constitution Street, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6AW - a beautiful and welcoming studio in the heart of Leith.
Please note: Alae is located on the third floor of an older building and is accessed via a metal spiral staircase. There is no lift. Unfortunately, this means the studio is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for people who find stairs difficult.
You can find out more about the space at alaespace.com.
The Qigong practice itself is gentle and adaptable. These sessions are primarily practised standing, supporting grounding, alignment and our connection with the whole body - a particularly welcome counterbalance to the amount of time many of us spend sitting in everyday life.
Some chairs will be available for anyone who needs to sit, pause or adapt part of the practice. You’re always encouraged to listen to your body, rest when needed and work within your own range of ease.
If you’re unsure whether the space or practice will work for you, please feel free to get in touch before booking.
What to Bring
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, and bring a bottle of water. We take our shoes off outside the studio door.
No special equipment is needed - just bring yourself and a little curiosity.
🪷 Looking forward to practicing with you! 🪷
