Electrical Safety with expert presenters.
One of our main responsibilities working in industry is the safety of ourselves and others. A key area of safety is Electrical Safety.
The Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council, Electrical Fatal Incident Data
Australia & New Zealand 2018 - 2019 report states:
"Thirteen electrical deaths from 12 incidents were recorded in Australia and New Zealand in 2018‐19. This is equivalent to 0.43 deaths per million people (dmp) which is 0.26 dmp higher the last year. Eleven of thirteen deaths occurred in Australia."
On the positive the data shows that over the last 19 years the death rate has been declining. However I think we would all agree that 13 deaths is unacceptable and our target can only be ZERO.
This event will add to everyone's awareness and responsibilities and help deliver on that target.
