Producers Anna Barden and Kate Greathouse, in partnership with Stomping Ground Comedy, present the Second Annual Queen for a Day: A Royal Women's Comedy Festival! This weekend only, each show highlights women and female-identifying performers from different backgrounds in a celebration of feminism and womankind, as they share their comedic talent with the community.
Raise your finest teacup and don’t forget to stick your pinky out! This hour of “royal improv” is brought to you by some of Dallas’ own all-women improv troupes.
Kicking off the one-the-spot laughs will be Jamie & Michelle a dynamic improv duo with whip-smart wit and creative characters.
Surrender Dorothy is an all-female punk rock collection of Improv baddies! They will do whatever they want to do when they want to do it. They refused to give up Dorothy (or bits!) Hold onto your broomsticks and clutch your little dogs because the hourglass has almost run out! Here comes Surrender Dorothy! Surrender Dorothy features Audrey MacNeil, Taylor Rexrode, Chelsea Gomez, Ashley Bright, Madeline Crank, Molly Macchiato, Kate Alleman, and Amy O'Neil.
The Funny Femme Fatales (the F Words) is a group of dynamic female performers who will dazzle you with their characters as they take you step-by-step from crime to handcuffs in this improvised murder mystery. The group features Danielle Yoshiko Phillips, Erin Noble, Audrey MacNeil, Kimber Martin, Lynsey Hale, Elizabeth Robinson, Shenelle Peart, and Kayla Parker.
Ticket prices are $20 plus fees in advance and $25 at the door. Rated M for Mature/18+. Stomping Ground is BYOB. Alcoholic beverages are allowed for all attendees over 21 years old; patrons are asked to enjoy them responsibly.
