North East Metro Connect is proud being part of the monthly community event - Quest connect by Bridge Darebin! We have been holding an information and peer check-in stall there every month since June.

We will be available to answer your questions about our service or if you just want to chat with someone who understands your caring journey! Of course there is more! Other services such as service Australia, No interest Loans (NILS) and Legal Aid & Financial Counselling will be there too. All the information you need and you want in one place!

Who we are

North East Metro Connect is a warm and welcoming space for families, carers, supporters and kin of people challenged by mental health and/or alcohol and other drug use.

The establishment of the service, as one of eight “Connect centres” across Victoria, was one of the key recommendations in the Victorian Mental Health Royal Commission.

North East Metro Connect has been co-designed by people with a lived/living experience of being family members and carers of people with mental health and substance use concerns. We work closely with people across the community to ensure families/carers’ needs are understood and supported.

Our service is funded by the Department of Health.
