Our talented graduating students will take center stage at 7pm, presenting their original compositions across a diverse spectrum of genres. From folk and rock to electronic and cinematic scores, the showcase promises to be a testament to Brisbane's vibrant emerging music scene.

The night kicks off at 6pm in the Gardens Theatre Foyer, where our gifted 1st and 2nd year musicians will set the tone with their performances. Come early, meet your friends and have a drink!

SHAMIA LILY

No stranger to the stage, Shamia has gained valuable live

performance experience and loves connecting with audiences

through her music. She has been singing and playing instruments

since childhood, drawing early inspiration from Taylor Swift and later

influences such as Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ashe, Olivia

Dean, Vera Blue, and Spacey Jane.

Shamia Blends these inspirations together to create her own unique

sound, also making sure to creates songs that resonate deeply with

listeners, hoping to offer comfort, connection, and a reminder that no

one is alone in what they’re going through.

JOE'S BAND

With their hypnotic rhythms and kaleidoscopic soundscapes, Joes band blends elements of jazz, psych, rock and pop to create something unique. Led by Joseph Ritchie and brought together by Cale Will Sam and George, 5 unique perspectives intertwine.

ARVO HAZE

Arvo Haze is a 4 piece alternative group from Brisbane/Meanjin. Taking a wide range of influences, Arvo Haze invites you on a listening journey of different sonic features and nostalgic sounds that strives to voice the words you struggle to find. Through piercing fuzzed out riffs to swelling soundscapes and punkish indie rock, Arvo Haze wants to help you reach that place only music can get you to.

SOLEIL

Through emotive melodies and intimate lyrics, Soleil hopes listeners will find a piece of home in her songs—a place to feel seen, understood, and uplifted. Pronounced “so-lay” and French for ‘sun’, Soleil is the artist name of Magandjin based singer-songwriter, Sophie Smith.

With an indie-folk sound influenced by artists such as Lizzy McAlpine, Noah Kahan, and Adrianne Lenker, Soleil and her bandmates create warm and immersive atmospheres for listeners. Guided by the belief that music has the power to connect, heal, and unite people from all walks of life, Soleil’s raw and honest approach offers a soundtrack to those seeking comfort and belonging.

AMARIAH

Amariah is a singer-songwriter and artist from QUT, blending pop, indie, jazz, and soul influences into heartfelt, story-driven songs. Inspired by personal experiences and the artists she loves, her music is both intimate and expressive. Known for her engaging stage presence and soulful melodies, Amariah captivates audiences with every performance, inviting listeners into her vibrant musical world. Performing alongside her friend and fellow QUT student Phoebe, the duo crafts a warm, playful, and musically rich experience that leaves audiences wanting more. Currently preparing for the QUT Music Showcase, Amariah continues to explore her sound and connect with new audiences, bringing her heartfelt pop and soulful melodies to life.

HAG

Bess Egerton (she/her), known as Hag, is a Meanjin/Brisbane-based bedroom producer and multi-instrumentalist. Beginning on GarageBand with early tracks like Vashti and She Walks in Beauty, she now produces professionally, crafting warm, nostalgic songs shaped by influences from Clairo to Sam Evian. Known locally as Red Hill’s lead singer, Hag is her opportunity for self-expression and experimentation.

The Lost Heads Club

The Lost Heads Club is James Davidson. A self-taught, up-and-coming, underground force from Brisbane, Australia. James Davidson (The Lost Heads Club) is undoubtedly unique. By making music from home in the final years of highschool, The Lost Heads Club had a revelation, that being how music was his saving grace. Utilising music as an outlet for emotions, The Lost Heads Club portrays raw, unfiltered energy in all songs through his awkward, yet, surreal voice.
He aims to comfort those who cannot be comforted and inspire musicians and teenagers alike. Formed in 2020, The Lost Heads Club has built up a catalogue of consistent releases.

ELSEWHERE

Brisbane’s ‘Elsewhere’ is a female fronted 5-piece, fusing alternative rock with R&B, soul, funk and dance. The band formed at QUT in 2024, connecting over their shared obsession with groove. Each member’s unique style creates an inimitable blend of sound that makes up Elsewhere. Their sound pulls from influences like Fontaines D.C., Anderson .Paak, Khruangbin, Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu creating a blend of high-energy intensity, colourful melodies and introspective lyricism.

MILLIEPEDE

Milliepede is an indie-folk singer/songwriter based in Meanjin (Brisbane). A central part of their creative expression lies in vulnerability and truth, being a strong mental health awareness advocate. Through Milliepede’s music, listeners can find familiarity, comfort, and connection. Their hope is that each song offers a little safe space for anyone who needs it.

SOFIA CIRINO

Meanjin/Brisbane based alt-folk artist sofia cirino writes passionate and poetic anthems about the most confusing and beautiful parts of life. Writing autobiographically about all aspects of growing up and gaining a sense of self, their ethereal melodies and personal arrangements are made to be felt. They strive for a unique ambiguity in their lyricism, toeing the line between maintaining lyrical specificity, whilst allowing for audience interpretation, creating a unique connection between them and their listeners. With a live accompaniment of lead guitar (Dublin Rose), bass (Ruby Campbell), violin (Amanda Hesse), and drums (Gerry Rossi), they create beautiful soundscapes inspired by the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lizzy McAlpine.

BEAKE

Beake puts his own elegant spin on The Neo-soul and RnB genre. Rich and relatable vocal lines are weaved together with tastefully lush and intricate guitar work, inviting you into honest and charming hooks. His unique sound draws inspiration from an eclectic range of artists, among the likes of ‘D’Angelo’, ‘Daniel Caesar’, ‘Moonchild’, and ‘Earth Wind & Fire’.

FOUL FACE

FOUL FACE is a female-fronted Brisbane-based four-piece fusing nu metal, grunge,

and pop into raw, theatrical, and riotous performances. Their music bleeds themes of

female rage, sexuality, and identity, driven by face-melting riffs, gut-punching bass,

and drums so tough they’ll steal your lunch money. On stage, FOUL FACE turns chaos

into ritual: a glitter-clad exorcism that dares you to dance alongside your demons and

scream until your lungs give out.

MUM'S CARDIGAN

Mum’s Cardigan is a Seven-piece funk-indie-pop band born in Brisbane and raised on university jam sessions, caffeine, and a love of playing music together. What started as a group of friends meeting between classes and rehearsals quickly evolved into something special, a tight-knit collective blending rich harmonies, groovy rhythms, and heartfelt songwriting into a sound that’s as vibrant and warm as the name suggests. Their music weaves together funk-infused melodies, catchy pop harmony, and an indie soulfulness that makes every track feel both nostalgic and new.

TAWA DRIVE

The music of Tawa Drive, the solo project from Kiwi multi-instrumentalist Evan Scrimgeour, combines nostalgic acoustic warmth with hazy dream-pop ambience. Inspired by artists such as James Blake, Alvvays, and M83, Scrimgeour seeks to create whole worlds within songs, with atmospheric depth building into soaring crescendos, and communicate personal stories of mental health and growing older.

GEORGIA SCARLETT

Georgia Scarlett creates intimate spaces for listeners to immerse in storytelling through her ethereal voice and unique musical tapestry. Behind her Aussie roots, Georgia blends her many musical influences such as the addictive American folk banjo, earthy country harmonica, Irish waltz feel, and Celtic vocal magic. Accompanied by guitar, a 12 set of harmonicas, a big personality and her dynamic live band, Georgia captivates audiences with electrifying stage performances.
