Simon J Karis is a Naarm/Melbourne-based electronic composer, sound artist and head honcho of Nice Music, a label presenting some of the best marginal electronic and experimental music Australia’s underground has to offer. This may be an artist bio, but it is also a statement fully endorsed by Roused At! + numerous entities national and international that we would describe as 'institutions'.

Karis’ own musical output across labels such as Altered States Tapes, Vienna Press and Nice Music is a varied, visceral and romantic meshing of smashed synthesis, concrète sounds, techno/dance-oriented forms and wrenching melodic patterns. He's worked with known maven Actress (Darren Cunningham) on their 2024 collaboration 'THRASH', quickly followed up by SJK's solo LP 'So Little Sorrow.'

Bonnie Mercer is an internationally-renowned musician, sound artist, and composer who lives and works in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. With a career spanning over twenty-five years, Mercer has ensured that she is in demand at home and abroad both as solo performer and highly-respected collaborator. These collaborations include acts like Grey Daturas, Dumb Numbers, Michael Beach, Down Under, Little Desert, Dead River, Taipan Tiger Girls... essentially, way too many to meaningfully namedrop.
