Step beyond the veil at Riversdale, a captivating colonial Georgian homestead dating from the late 1830s and the oldest surviving building in Old Goulburn Town. With nearly two centuries of history woven into its walls, Riversdale promises an unforgettable ghost hunt drenched in mystery and suspense.

Once an inn, a boys’ grammar school, a boarding house, a working farm, and a private residence, Riversdale’s past is filled with stories — and perhaps spirits — waiting to be uncovered. Each room has witnessed countless lives, and reports of paranormal activity suggest that some of those lives might never have left.

Before the investigation begins, guests will enjoy a short film on the fascinating history of this colonial treasure. Then, under the guidance of experienced hosts, you’ll be divided into teams and equipped with ghost-hunting tools to explore the rooms and corridors where unexplained phenomena have been reported.

It’s a night of intrigue, history and hauntings — the perfect experience for thrill-seekers and lovers of the paranormal.

A ghost hunt is an interactive experience where guests explore a historic location in search of evidence of the paranormal. The night includes:

• A safety briefing and introduction to Riversdale’s history

• A demonstration of ghost-hunting tools such as EMF detectors, spirit boxes, dowsing rods and infrared cameras

• Small-group investigations across different areas of the property

• Real-time exploration of known paranormal hot spots

• The National Trust (NSW) – supporting the preservation and upkeep of Riversdale Homestead, ensuring its history and beauty endure for generations to come.

• The Cancer Council NSW – funding research, care and support for those affected by cancer, a cause close to our hearts, with members of our own team currently supporting loved ones through treatment.
