Are you ready to take on the challenge of building a connection with the Quran this Ramadan? ππ« We, The Islamic Society of UNSW, are thrilled to announce an engaging and spiritually uplifting Quran Memorisation competition for all staff, students, and members of the community.
Open to All Ages. This event is not intended for those who have memorised the entire Quran; rather, it aims to provide a platform for others to shine and share their accomplishments. ππ
Event Highlights: π
Three Levels of Participation: π
- Easy: Choose to memorise one of the individual Surahs - Maryam, Al-Kahf, or Taha. Each Surah is of almost the same length, offering a balanced challenge. π
- Medium: Take on Juzβ Amma (Surahs 78 - 114) for a more intermediate challenge. π
- Hard: For those seeking the ultimate test of their memorisation skills, Surat Al-Baqara awaits. π
Event Timing: β°
Examination Days: Scheduled for March 30th and 31st, running between 2-3 hours. The exact times will be announced based on participant numbers, but expect slots to be approximately between Duhr and Asr prayers, with around 10 minutes allocated to each participant. π°οΈ
Ceremony Day: Celebrate your achievements and those of fellow participants on Sunday, April 7th, at 8 p.m. after the Taraweeh prayer. ππ
Prizes That Reflect Your Dedication: π°π
Separate prizes for Brothers and Sisters:
- Easy Level: $600 in total, distributed among 6 winners (Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd: $125, $100, $75 respectively).
- Medium Level: $900 in total, distributed among 6 winners (Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd: $200, $150, $100 respectively).
- Hard Level: $1500 in total, distributed among 6 winners (Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd: $300, $250, $200 respectively).
