a. Statistics on occurrence within the Australian population.

3. Pathophysiology

a. Current understandings of disease development and influencing factors/drivers.

4. Pharmaceutical management

a. Different drug classes and mechanisms

5. Symptoms & disease presentation


6. Clinical strategies for IBD pathophysiology

a. Complementary treatment strategies that can be employed to address disease drivers such as immune dysregulation, gut inflammation etc

7. Clinical strategies for IBD symptom management

a. Symptoms that occur in IBD, alongside concomitant IBS, functional gut issues and drug side effects have enormous impacts on patients quality of life.
b. Clinical strategies encompassing supplements, diet and lifestyle discussed to support patients in dealing with these and reduce symptom severity where possible.

Claire Murray is a naturopath with special interests in digestive, womens and mind-body health.
