ReFraming Menopause; grounded navigational tools and offerings to support the transition into Menopause #2

Event description

Welcome dear Women,

Menopause is a unique experience for every woman. It’s a time when radical changes take place physiologically, emotionally and deep in the psyche.

It’s a time of exploring and navigating new path ways of self-identity, acceptance and purpose.

In our western culture feminine beauty is primarily associated with the younger woman, and the natural aging process can be challenging for many women (to embrace on numerous levels).

Some of us may flow gracefully into our autumn years, though for many women it is a challenging and confusing time. They may feel tired and exhausted and don’t find the support needed for this passage. There is a sense of dis-empowerment that can creep in as this transition is so heavily medicalised in our western culture.

As we cycle into our menopausal transition, an opportunity is awakening to evaluate and inquire into our life so far;

What lies beneath the roles we play, the masks we wear as a mother, a wife/partner, a career woman, a caretaker or grandmother?

For some women it may be a time of deep decent. A time to start dissolving the inhibitions around expression, renegotiate our boundaries and our desires.

It’s a time to deeply nurture OURSELVES …..Acknowledge and share our gifts and honor the wisdom we have gathered throughout life’s experiences.

As we enter into this transitioning cycle of menopause that innately brings us into our elder years of womanhood, we do have a choice of how we navigate and move through this powerful gateway.

Menopause is not only an ending of our physically fertile years but more importantly a beginning that’s rich with the potential for empowerment, liberation and fulfillment.

Mez Harrison:

I'm a proud postmenopausal woman.
The journey into my autumn years has gathered and grown me much love , respect , gratitude and deep honouring for the sacredness that is embodied within the essence of every woman. I have been following my dharma for many years now, as a bodyworker, a teacher, a space holder and as a guide for women to unite, explore and empower by finding presence and connection within their own essence.I hold a deep growing passion to work with the physicalities and energetics of the female pelvis. To be the conduit for women to find healing and peace by coming back home to the presence of their own sacredness, wisdom and intuitive power that is held within this space of creation.

Claudine Gertrude

Over the last 30 years I've been exploring all kind of different practices that connect the body, the soul and the spirit. Experiencing embodiment, my physicality and how it relates to my emotions, the memory of events and patterns held in my body has led me to understand myself and life deeply.
I have a diploma in Sacred Feminine Yoga and I have spent 7 years deeply involved with women through Rite of Passage work. Over the last 8 years I transitioned and arrived into the Maga, the young Crone phase of my life and I love it. I keep deepening into myself.

A great passion to support women on their journey into this phase of life has awakened in me; into this phase of life that is so rich and powerful.
