Event description

Breath, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra Workshop: Ease Into the Winter Season

✨ Join us for a two-hour journey to nourish your body and mind as we transition into the stillness of winter!

Details:
🗓️ When: Saturday, 28th June 2025, from 3–5 PM
📍 Where: Onehunga Community House, 83 Selwyn St.
🧣 What to Bring: Cozy layers and comfortable clothing

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is linked to the water element, which governs the kidneys and bladder meridians. The kidneys are seen as the root of vitality (Jing), storing our life force and supporting growth, reproduction, and regeneration. Winter invites us to slow down, conserve energy, and connect inwardly—offering a powerful opportunity for restoration, introspection, and deep rest.

Why You’ll Love This Winter Workshop
This soothing seasonal practice will guide you through:

🌬️ Breathwork: Gentle techniques to calm the nervous system, support kidney Qi, and cultivate inner warmth and resilience.
🧘‍♀️ Yin Yoga: Deep, grounding postures designed to support the kidneys and bladder, enhance circulation, and release stored tension.
🛌 Yoga Nidra: A deeply restful guided meditation to help you surrender into stillness, restore balance, and strengthen your inner reserves.

What to Expect:
🧶 All mats, bolsters, and props provided—just bring your beautiful self!
❄️ A cozy space with limited spots (max 12), allowing for individual care and connection.
🌙 A nurturing pause in your week to restore your energy and align with winter’s quiet power.
