Remembrance Exhibitions: Festival Preview Event
Event description
We're joining forces with Wedderburn Korong Vale RSL to celebrate a very special pair of art installations in Wedderburn Mechanics Literary Institute hall, which will be a highlight of the 3-5 October Festival.
To be officially declared open and ready for action by Peter Swandale, formerly President of the Bendigo RSL and now on the Victorian Veterans Council, this post-Grand Final afternoon tea will also feature the young people from Wedderburn whose recent participation in the Kokoda Adventure was sponsored by Wedderburn Korong Vale RSL.
Be the first to see Sacha de Wit's beautiful installation, The Unknown Widow, and father and son printmakers, Lawrence and Riley Finn's homage to family loss and the grief of war, Our Forgotten Dead.
We acknowledge the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum's support for Loddon Valley Arts, in bringing The Unknown Widow to Wedderburn.
