Resilience for the Workplace
A practical 8 hour course designed to build workplace resilience by helping professionals stay present, manage difficult thoughts and emotions, and take meaningful action aligned with their values and goals.
Please note that this is an 8 hour course of 2 x 4 hour sessions commencing on 7 July, 2025 and ending on 14 July, 2025.

A practical course designed to build workplace resilience by helping professionals stay present, manage difficult thoughts and emotions, and take meaningful action aligned with their values and goals.
- Explore how we can get caught up in automatic behaviour without even realising it
- Examine both the benefits and drawbacks of living on autopilot
- Learn practical techniques to learn mindfulness.
- Discover simple ways to live out your values every day
- Identify common obstacles that prevent you from aligning your actions with your values
- Learn how to navigate challenging thoughts and emotions while staying true to what matters most
- Thinking and doing modes and how to use them to our benefit
- Introducing a tool for reflecting on a recent challenging event to identify internal experiences
- Noticing behavioural responses, clarifying values, and visualising alternatives
- Navigating future challenges in a way that stays true to who you want to be, despite the presence of uncomfortable internal experiences
- The nature of our thinking minds and how we can navigate this
- Observing unhelpful mind chatter
- Techniques to help untangle from difficult thoughts
- How our minds constantly jump between the past and future, and how using the body as an anchor can bring us back to the present
- How emotions can pull us away from living in line with our values
- A simple exercise to help you respond to emotions instead of reacting to them
- Creating a plan to live by your values in a key area of life for more meaning and purpose
- Using the tool to express values in another domain
- Exploring what holds us back from taking action, using a simple physical metaphor.
- Reviewing key insights and takeaways from the course
