Revegetating Streams in the Brunswick Catchment - Launch event
Event description
Revegetating Streams in the Brunswick Catchment
Friday 14 February, 2025
Our originally-planned event for Nov 22 last year had to be canceled due to flooding, apologies to all who'd registered. We're going again, this time on 14 February - a day to show our river some love.
Join us for this half-day workshop on how to use this revised guide for riparian restoration in the Bruns catchment.
Workshop will feature presentations by specialist guest speakers, followed by morning tea, and then a practical hands-on session on the banks of the Upper Brunswick River to learn how to make best use of the guide.
There’ll be opportunity for Q&A with our specialists as well.
Guest Speakers:
- Dr Jo Green from BVL on the science behind the species lists revision and how to apply the guide to your context
- Shaun Morris and Craig Hart from Local Land Services on key concepts for river rehabilitation and regulatory approvals
- Liz Caddick from Byron Shire Council on using the guide in reference to new wildlife corridor mapping
- Field session led by Jo & Craig
Arrive from 9:15am for a 9:30am start.
This event is support by Local Land Services Riverbank Rehabilitation Project and Byron Shire Council.
