Rhodes Stargazing Night
Event description
Come and discover the wonders of our universe at this free stargazing night in Rhodes Foreshore Park!
This family-friendly event invites participants to explore the night sky through telescopes, guided by members of the Astronomical Society of NSW. As part of the Dark Skies, Wild Nights Citizen Science Corner, you’ll get the chance to see our moon, planets, and distant galaxies up close while learning about space and astronomy in an engaging and educational setting. (Ages 5+)
Please meet at Rhodes Foreshore Park (142 Shoreline Drive, Rhodes) at 7:30pm.
The Rhodes Stargazing Night is part of a wider initiative supported by the Australian Library and Information Association and the Australians Citizen Science Association (ACSA), in partnership with the City of Canada Bay Council. This program aims to inspire our community to get involved in Citizen Science through dedicated library corners, hands-on workshops, and borrowable Citizen Science Kits (coming soon). Learn more by visiting our Citizen Science Corner here.
