RIEDEL Wine Glass Experience in Christchurch
Dive into the world of RIEDEL
Did you know that the shape and size of your glass affects the aroma, flavour and overall profile of wine? Hosted by RIEDEL New Zealand's Managing Director, Mark Baulderstone, this interactive class reveals just how much the right glass can transform the way wine is experienced.
With four glasses from the refined and remarkably lightweight RIEDEL Veloce collection, you’ll discover firsthand why glass shape makes all the difference. Drawing on decades of research into Grape Varietal Specific glassware, the hour-long session also offers insight into RIEDEL’s 270-year legacy of design and invention.
Your four glasses will be varietally matched with:
RIEDEL Veloce Sauvignon Blanc: Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2025
RIEDEL Veloce Chardonnay: Palliser Estate Chardonnay 2024

All About RIEDEL Veloce
Introduced in 2022, RIEDEL Veloce is an impressive development based on state-of-the-art technology from RIEDEL’s own factory in Weiden, Germany. The RIEDEL Veloce design is based on the much-loved bowl shapes of RIEDEL’s Extreme series but delivered with a lighter profile. Recognising the evolution of modern wines, the Riedel family adapted the Extreme series following an intensive new round of comparative tastings - a project that provided the inspiration behind RIEDEL Veloce.
