Great jazz, tasty food and thirst-quenching brews

Since 2014, Rio Trio have been bringing the vibrant sounds of Brazil to Wellington audiences. For this special Festival performance, they’re joined by Brazilian pianist Juliana Sian, a New Zealand–based artist with over 20 years’ experience and a deep love for Brazilian music. Together, they weave a rich tapestry of bossa nova, samba, and choro, alongside authentic originals penned by saxophonist Bryn van Vliet.

Featuring Bryn van Vliet on flute/saxophone, Felicien Houet on guitar, Taciano Milfont on percussion and Juliana Sian on piano.

Capital Blues Inc. is keeping the blues alive in Wellington with fortnighly Thursday night gigs at Underworld Tavern. These are supported by the bar with discounts for Capital Blues Club members. The events have a cover fee, usually at $20, $10 for members - and still blues and roots music for everyone to enjoy.

Now we've added an exciting new concert series - and with your support this will be a fantastic addition to the Wellington live music calendar. Currently the last Sunday of the month at 1pm, prices are usually $20, and $10 for club members.
