Rise 'n' Stride in Takapuna
Our weekly all-paces run club perfect for anyone just getting into running, coming back after injury or just wanting a chill mid-week reset.
We run (or walk if you'd prefer) for 30mins, starting and finishing together, and finish up with an optional ocean dip and coffee.

About Project Sunrise
Project Sunrise is a community to support people navigating burnout and mental health struggles.
We run weekly events around Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, ranging from free walks to mindfulness workshops and gentle exercises, all in a pitch-free, no-expectation environment.

Meet and stretch
We do a few stretches while everyone arrives.
- 6:25 am
Run/jog/walk
We run, jog or walk for 30 minutes either along Takapuna beach (if it's low enough tide) or along the street towards Milford.
- 7:00 am
Ocean dip
We grab our towels and jump in the water for a post-run cooldown - yes, all year round! You can always opt to watch from shore if you'd prefer - you'll never be pressured into doing it if you feel uncomfortable.
- 7:30 am
Coffee chats
We get changed and grab a coffee at the Takapuna Beach Cafe, where we all get a chance to share our highs, lows and learnings of the week.
- 8:15 am
Wrap up
You are welcome to head off whenever you like, but typically we all finish by 8.15am and head off to start our days.
