About Majid
Majid Rabet is an electro-mechanical engineer, artist and inventor, whose creations push the limits of both art and technology. Based in Sydney, Majid came to Australia from Iran after seeking asylum and living in detention. Majid creates small machines and robots from found materials that play with imagination; his world is one of walking robots, cutting machines, tools, and moving sculptures. Majid’s imagination and creative skills have seen him through incredible adversity, and he continues to create objects to bring joy and positivity to both himself and those around him.
