About the workshop:
Ready to dive into the world of Dungeons & Dragons? Whether you’ve played a little or not at all, this workshop is your chance to step into a fantasy world, build a character from scratch, and jump straight into the action.
We’ll spend the first part of the session creating original characters: choose your class, race, backstory, weird quirks, and favourite spells. Then launch into a fast-paced, three-hour one-shot adventure where you’ll work as a team, face impossible odds, and probably make some truly chaotic decisions.
It’s collaborative storytelling with dice, dragons, and the occasional emotional crisis. No experience needed.
Elise is a vibrant and multifaceted theatre-maker with a passion for pushing creative boundaries. Based in Lutruwita, they are the Founder and Creative Director of Big Job Productions, a bold new company making waves in the local arts scene. With over five years of hands-on experience in the community, Elise has worked across all areas of theatre—from stage management and technical production to lighting and sound design. Their love for the arts is matched only by their dedication to supporting and nurturing the next generation of artists. Always willing to wear many hats, Elise thrives in collaborative environments, having worked with diverse teams at festivals, schools, and events, and continues to shape the future of Tasmanian theatre. Whether it’s managing a festival or coordinating an outdoor performance, Elise brings an infectious energy and precision to every project. Ready to take on the next challenge, they are committed to making theatre that’s not only exciting but impactful and inclusive for all.
