Sat, 24 May, 3pm - 6pm AEST

Event description

As an advanced sadistic rope study, rough rope is an exploration of Sasori’s style as an antagonistic, chaotic, all around menace of a rope practitioner. Combining elements of takedowns, hojo-jutsu, exploding ties, body manipulation and ichinawa into a chaotic and mischievous style that has been described as feeling like you were hit by a bus.

This hands-on advanced class focuses on the floor rope aspects of Sasori’s style, and encompasses higher risk ties that are designed to push both the top and bottom within any rope scene. Students seeking to undertake this class should at the minimum be versed in the fundamental concepts of neck rope, face rope, breath play, body manipulation and the range of motion of those being tied. This class is aimed at those with a solid understanding of rope who seek to make a noticeable impact in their approach to their scenes, making the journey of a rope scene even more exciting than the destination.

This class is suitable for folks who have undertaken intermediate to advanced rope classes, have a detailed understanding of nerves, body mechanics and tension. This class will feature face, neck, crotch and toe rope as well as torsions and trampling, please bring rope you and your partner are ok being placed on the neck, face or crotch.

This workshop will include:

  • Elevated concepts of sadistic rope, covering how to intentionally incorporate increasingly impactful and at times higher risk rope into play, disrupting the often linear slow approach to rope.
  • Safety considerations, when modifying your style to incorporate these new concepts, including timing constraints, negotiation, consent and aftercare considerations
  • Hands-on exercises demonstrating each core concept and adding some of Sasori’s favourite floor ties into your repertoire
  • Participant Q&A where you can ask questions specific to your style, size, dynamic, and restrictions

Students should bring:

  • A Tenugui (Piece of cloth used as a blindfold - this will be used in ties)
  • 4-8 pieces of rope
  • Cutting Implements (Safety Shears, Seatbelt Cutters)
  • 1 designated rope for crotch and/or face rope for the bottom you are tying.

To note:

  • This is an 'advanced' class, but will be comprehensible to intermediate rope players
  • One year of rope experience is recommended
  • As this class has many practical elements we ask that you attend partnered, and as such tickets are sold to cover TWO people.

Discounts are available when buying the Rough Rope Day Pass, which gives you entry to BOTH of Sasori's classes on May 24.

Sasori (He/Him)

Best described as a reaction fetishist, chaos gremlin and sadomasochistic switch, Sasori has spent his kink journey exploring the various means upon which he can elicit yelps, moans, giggles and screams from those he plays with. Initially trained in his home country of Australia, Sasori moved abroad for 8 years engaging various scenes across the US and Europe. As a product of his travels he expanded his repertoire with formal education and a plethora of diverse intensives; the result is a style that emphasizes connection, calculated risk, and jovial sadism within a chaotic and lighthearted package.

Semenawa Princess (They/She)

Bee has been an active member of the Melbourne community for over 2 years. Their interests range over various sadomasochist activities which include impact play, needle play, kinbaku and more. Following their passion in supporting community and advocacy for kink education, they have begun demo bottoming for both performance and education, hoping to help build a stronger community through their efforts.
