Ben Frost / CORIN / Eartheater / Gabber Modus Operandi

Event description

Experience a night of sensory saturation in experimental pop, scorched electronics, and unhinged techno.

Eartheater returns to Australia, bringing her meticulously crafted brand avant-pop, drenched in fluid string arrangements, electronic experimentation and her three-octave vocal range, taking us along with her on a cinematic journey of gothic romance.

Indonesian duo Gabber Modus Operandi, debut a world exclusive show for Now or Never with visuals by Brandon Tay. Exploding with audacious productions and fuelled by a diverse range of influences, from gabber to Indonesian trance dance, to exhilarating effect. Meanwhile, acclaimed Australian composer Ben Frost, is joined with guitarist Greg Kubacki, in presenting his latest album Scope Neglect, seething with industrial noise, deconstructed metal and intense compositions, delivering a claustrophobic tension that captivates.

Filipino-Australian electronic producer, composer, and performer Corin Ileto presents her Lux Aeterna (‘Eternal Light’) Live AV performance, accompanied by Tristan Jalleh’s otherworldly visuals. In this haunting alternate universe, their collaboration conjures android apparitions, swirling sentinels, and suspended debris, offering an immersive experience that transcends the ordinary, bringing us closer to the heavens.

Intrepid multidisciplinary artist Luke George performs at the apex of art, performance and ropework, suffusing kink, intimacy and queer politics into his practice. For Now or Never, he will perform a daring aerial installation work suspended from the Royal Exhibition Building’s cathedral ceiling.
