DAY ONE - 27th of October

Assessment continues to be one of the biggest non-compliances within RTOs. During this interactive session we will explore reading and unpacking units of competence.

No need to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be an Assessor, this workshop is design for everyone who wants to understand assessment compliance

We will provide examples of units and assessments to work with during the session.

Workshop Agenda

  • How to accurately map assessments

  • The Difference between, assessment pre-use review, validation and moderation

  • How to conduct pre-use reviews and assessment validation

  • Rectification of assessments

  • Using real examples for activities

  • Hints for using AI to assist in the development process

DAY TWO - 29th of October

A critical component for planning an RTO’s self-assurance strategies is the conduct of an audit. In this one-day workshop, you will develop the skills required to establish the required evidence, determine who will be involved in the audit, document findings, and use the audit findings to plan future self-assurance activities.

This workshop is designed for RTO personnel who are responsible for compliance activities and have some knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2025.

During the workshop, you will receive and use the “Self-Assurance bundle”, review tools developed by RTO Consulting to aid in the conduct of interval audits and self-assurance activities.

  • Internal audit preparation:

    • what do we need

    • who will be involved

    • the scope of the audit

  • Conducting the audit

    • analysing evidence

    • common non-compliances

    • practical auditing activities

  • Reporting

    • documenting findings

    • using findings to plan future self-assurance activities

What to Bring & Preparation

  • Your own fully charged laptop (smartphones are not suitable)

  • You will be expected to have a basic knowledge of The Standards for RTOs 2025

  • Bring a copy of The Standards for RTOs 2025 (if you like to refer to the hard copy)

Meals can be purchased at the venue. No catering is included for this workshop.
