Rustic Bowl - Men's Pottery session
Description
2 Pot Creative welcomes you and your mates to hand build a rustic Buff Raku pottery bowl. During a 2hr session you will be guided through the process of drawing from your creativity to produce your very own snack / nut bowl.
Buff Raku clay will be used to give a rustic look and feel to your pottery.
Hand building pottery techniques such pinch and carving will be explored to create from your ball of clay a pottery piece that is truly yours.
During your time in the studio you will be provided with all the necessary tools and materials so you can focus on enjoying the experience without any pressure. Personalised guidance will be provided in this small group to help you create a unique piece of functional art.
Whether you are looking for an opportunity to be creative, relieve stress or just enjoy the company within a positive space, this pottery session will be good for your soul.
Once your clay creation is checked and allowed to dry it will go through it's first bisque firing, followed by hand application of food safe glaze and a glaze firing. This process can take between 4-6 weeks, you'll be notified for collection of your pottery.
Please be aware some pottery pieces can break despite my best efforts to prevent issues during the finishing processes. I will do my utmost to ensure a successful outcome, however I'm unable to offer refunds for pieces that crack naturally due to the drying, firing and glazing processes.

- Is this event for Men only?
This pottery session is aimed at Men to encourage their involvement in art practices that bring about wellness and communication with other men.
- Do I have to bring anything?
No you don't need to bring anything, all materials are supplied.
- Are refreshments provided?
Tea and coffee is provided, BYO alcohol in moderation.
- What if I'm visiting, how will I get my pottery?
If you're here on holidays I can arrange to post your pottery piece via Australia Post for the fee charged at the post office.
- Is there other dates available?
If you have a small group that would like an alternative date get in touch and we'll sort out another date and time together.
