The SA Woman Breakfast Series is back for 2024!

Set in the picturesque Gilbert Suite at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the SA Woman Breakfast Series events are a must-attend on the SA Woman calendar. Following the ongoing theme of "Learning Through Conversation", this year's events will focus on 'The Visibility of Women'.

You will hear from a panel of three incredible women in South Australia as they share their insights, experiences, and expertise on just how powerful visibility is for women in the workforce and business landscape.

Takeaway lessons and ideas on how to increase your visibility and gain a deeper understanding of the different types of visibility challenges women face throughout our state - especially women who are fighting for visibility from a place of intersectionality.

Our Breakfast Series events are known for being an open and honest discussion on issues that women are facing and this year is shaping up to be a fascinating series! Join us for our first breakfast, 'The Power of Being Seen'.

Tickets are also available now for our second breakfast, 'Advocating for Your Own Visibility', with a follow-up focus on finding the skills, techniques, and courage needed to put yourself out there for new and wonderful opportunities!

Emma Glenn is a dedicated Motherhood Mentor based in Adelaide, specializing in postpartum care. With four years of experience, she has been a steadfast supporter of women navigating the transformative journey of motherhood. Emma's commitment lies in reshaping the maternal experience, advocating for a more supportive and inclusive approach.

Her journey began with one-on-one support for women, offering a compassionate presence during what can often be a challenging time. Recently, she has expanded her efforts to combat the pervasive issue of isolation among new mothers by founding The House of Mother—a vibrant community space aimed at fostering connection and solidarity.

Emma's vision extends beyond individual support, as she strives to create a broader network of support within the community. Through initiatives like The Largs Bay Health and Yoga Studio, Emma has transformed her passion for connection into a thriving wellness hub. Here, she provides education and resources designed to empower women on their journey to motherhood, fostering a sense of confidence and belonging.

With a focus on nurturing inner wisdom and fostering community bonds, Emma Glenn is committed to ensuring that every woman feels supported and empowered during this profound chapter of life.

Sunita Miranda
Founder, Cornerstone Alliance & Director and Founder, easyread.tech

With over 20 years of experience in Communications, Media and Marketing, Sunita has worked in a variety of sectors, with her favourite being Human Services, specifically disability, multicultural and the community sector. Sunita is passionate about diversity, inclusion and access, and tries to improve on these outcomes through each of the service deliverables that she is charged with. Sunita’s journey saw her arrive in South Australia with her husband two decades ago, and over the years, she’s established herself nationally as a business leader within multicultural and disability communications.

Specialising in these areas has meant that Sunita and her team have developed creative campaigns communicating important public messaging and executed these at a federal level.

Sunita founded easyread.tech in 2023 to meet a gap in the market when it came to creating beautiful and effective accessible resources for people with intellectual disability, cognitive decline, and those with low literacy. In Australia, there are very limited relevant images available for use within accessible resources relating to disability, cultural diversity, and other societal intersectionalities. Easyread.tech has created a collection of over 800 original illustrations for use within accessible resources, including a recent First Nations collection.

Easyread.tech uses its creative agency background to create beautiful Easy Read and Plain English resources so that the person receiving this information comprehends what is being communicated to them.

Easyread.tech employs people with disability and works with people that are represented in their illustrations to ensure that their illustrations are crafted with careful consideration. In what is a first for South Australia, easyread.tech is a bold vision that has come to life, thanks to a skilled and talented local team that lives and breathes accessibility.

Cassie Bouyer-Sanderson
Assistant Director, Office for Women, Inclusion Supports and Safeguarding

Cassie Bouyer-Sanderson brings over two decades of dedicated service in state government, specializing in health and human services. With a rich background spanning operational and clinical settings, mental health policy and legislation, disability and NDIS reform, child protection, and adult safeguarding, Cassie has established herself as a dynamic leader in her field.

Throughout her career, Cassie has led a range of diverse programs, showcasing her versatility and depth of expertise. In her current capacity as Assistant Director Office for Women within the Department for Human Services, Cassie oversees key portfolios including Women’s Leadership and Performance, Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, and Commonwealth and State Partnerships.

Cassie's career journey has been underscored by her ability to navigate complex programs and projects, from statewide operational service delivery to national and statewide policy development, strategic projects, and intergovernmental relations. Her commitment to driving positive change has been the driving focus of her career.
