Safe Futures - Family & Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Training

A culturally responsive primary prevention initiative supporting CaLD and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to prevent family & domestic violence by inspiring change.  

Organisations and professionals working with or supporting CaLD and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are invited to participate in this training.

Learning outcomes:

  • Participants will develop a heightened understanding of the key drivers of violence against women, including: 

    - Gender inequality

    - Human rights

    - Social norms & rigid gender roles

    - Childhood & intergenerational trauma

  • Participants will have an enhanced understanding on how gender equality contributes to healthy family relationships leading to better health outcomes for all.

  • Participants will reflect individually and in groups to develop actionable goals for implementing new learnings within personal, professional and community settings.

Format & cost: This is a cost-free 4-hour in-person training session. Breaks included.

Parking is available at the venue.
