Safe Futures - Family & Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Training
A culturally responsive primary prevention initiative supporting CaLD and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to prevent family & domestic violence by inspiring change.
Organisations and professionals working with or supporting CaLD and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are invited to participate in this training.
Learning outcomes:
Participants will develop a heightened understanding of the key drivers of violence against women, including:
- Gender inequality
- Human rights
- Social norms & rigid gender roles
- Childhood & intergenerational trauma
Participants will have an enhanced understanding on how gender equality contributes to healthy family relationships leading to better health outcomes for all.
Participants will reflect individually and in groups to develop actionable goals for implementing new learnings within personal, professional and community settings.
Format & cost: This is a cost-free 4-hour in-person training session. Breaks included.
Parking is available at the venue.
