Safe Futures - Family & Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Training
A culturally responsive primary prevention initiative supporting CaLD and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to prevent family & domestic violence by inspiring change.
Organisations and professionals working with or supporting CaLD and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are invited to participate in this training.
Learning outcomes:
- Participants will develop a heightened understanding of the key drivers of violence against women, including:
- Gender inequality
- Human rights
- Adverse Childhood Experiences & generational trauma
- Social norms & rigid gender roles
- Participants will have an enhanced understanding on how gender equality contributes to healthy family relationships leading to better mental health outcomes for all.
- Participants will reflect individually and in groups to develop personal, professional and organisational goals and action plans for implementing new learnings.
Safe Futures is a 4-hour interactive no-cost training session, including breaks.
