City of Ballarat, in partnership with RoadSafe Central Highlands welcomes Ballarat residents, aged 55+ to:
Safer Cyclists: Adult Bike Ed
- A two-part information session for New or Returning Riders
The theory-based sessions will educate and assist adults who:
- may be new to cycling
- are returning riders who want to build more confidence
Topics covered will include:
- Learning to Ride
- Key Road Rules for Riding
- Sharing the Road with Drivers
- Electric Bikes
- Riding with Children
- Basic bike maintenance
Participants will also visit the nearby Re-Cranked shed - a Y-Ballarat initiative re-vamping unwanted bikes into serious modes of transport for people without wheels
This is a two-part course run over two consecutive weeks.Â
Course registration indicates attendance at both sessions.
Part 1: Wednesday 13th November 2024
Time: 10.00am-12.00pm
Part 2: Wednesday 20th November 2024
Time: 10.00am-12.30pm
