Samchykivka Art (Ukrainian Folk Art) - Adult Workshop

Explore the history and secrets of Samchykivka art, a style of Ukrainian Folk Art. Participants will learn about symbolism, composition, colour palette and more, and create their own artwork in the Samchykivka style.

Anna Mykhalchuk is a Ukrainian artist living in Hobart since 2022. She is working in a decorative folk-art style called Samchykivka. Her work explores themes of diversity of nature, connections with people, and the ability to see and feel more.

This workshop is suitable for adults at any skill level, from beginner to experienced.
