The Mal Wood Quintet – five swinging jazz cats

The Mal Wood Quintet are swinging hard with their tasty Jazz n' Blues treats, fresh from a sell-out show at the Hope Island Jazz & Cabaret. These superb musicians take you on a musical journey from New Orleans, Africa and Latin America with a sprinkling of Country and Western - Cajun style.

Featuring Galapagos Duck’s Rod Ford on vocals and drums, this stella line-up Brisbane’s A list Jazz fraternity will have you moving and grooving. After 17 years as the feature band at the Bowery Bar, they come to Samford to share all the joy that live music brings to your soul.

Mal Wood - Trumpet / Vocals has been blessed to share the stage with Jerry Lewis, James and John Morrison, Tom Burlinson, John Foreman, Tina Arena, Rick Price, Gina Jeffries, Tom Gleeson, Galapagos Duck, David Campbell, Grace Night, Rhonda Burchmore, Sophie Monk, Anthony Galea, Tim Campbell and ABC's Australia All Over with Macca .
