Saturday Project Class (February)
Event description
Saturday Project Class is available for up to 6 people with 2 Upcycle Newcastle members support, once a month between 2-5pm.
These sessions are perfect for those that need help with alterations, mending, or perhaps following a pattern? Maybe some assistance with inserting a zip, changing an op shop find, sprucing up a pair of jeans, or learning how to darn? Maybe you just want to hone in your sewing skills in a supportive and creative environment?
Supporting all your creative sewing needs, our Saturday Project Class sessions are in a small encouraging environment (maximum of 6 people) where 2 Upcycle Newcastle Team Members will support and guide all your personal projects. Basic sewing skills are required (you can choose a beginner class if you need to start at the beginning) and participants are able to use all our sewing machines (including semi-industrials), overlockers, cutting tables, rotary cutters etc.Â

*PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to book in for Slow Stitch Saturday or our regular Project Classes these are separate bookings. These project classes are created using circular economy principles. This means we love using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items for our sewing projects. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
