Breathing Pattern Workshops focus on Physiotherapy Led Breathing Retraining. This method unpacks a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of your health: your breathing pattern. Led by Abby Stewart, a NZ Registered Respiratory Physiotherapist, and certified BradCliff Breathing Practitioner, the Breathing Pattern Workshop will equip you and your community with the tools to optimise your breathing pattern for enhanced performance, mental clarity, relaxation, recovery, and physiological function.
What is Breathing Retraining?
Breathing Retraining focuses on restoring an efficient breathing pattern. While breathing is something we naturally do with little thought, disruptions in its rhythm can lead to various signs , symptoms and performance limitations such as stress and anxiety, panic attacks, difficulty ‘switching off’, reduced exercise tolerance, lingering post-COVID symptoms, shallow breathing, unexplained chest tightness, chronic neck and lower back pain and disrupted sleep. Breathing Retraining will help you adopt better breathing habits and reduce associated symptoms.
Abby will guide you through a self-assessment of your breathing pattern, helping tailor the workshop to individuals concerns and performance limitations and goals. She will also help you recognise when you seek personalised support from a health professional (respiratory physiotherapist / doctor).
