    Event description

Please RSVP by midday, Monday 4 December

The Disability Royal Commission Final Report, handed down in September, contains more than 200 recommendations for change. It outlines major reforms that will impact Victorian community sector organisations that support people with disability.

VCOSS is holding two sector briefings to help you to be informed and supported through this reform process.

This initial briefing (you can find out about the second briefing here) will be hosted by VCOSS and feature a presentation from Disability Advocacy Network Australia’s El Gibbs, who will help you make sense of the Commission, including key findings and recommendations.

    Please note:

    • This briefing is for VCOSS members and Victorian Disability Advocacy Program (VDAP) organisations only.
    • You can submit a question when you register or during the briefing.

We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you online on the day.

    Update on Auslan

Due to high demand, Victoria is experiencing a shortage of Auslan interpreters. VCOSS strives to ensure our events are inclusive to everyone and will do our best to secure Auslan interpreters on the day.

To help us do this, if you require Auslan for this event, please RSVP as soon as possible so that we can work with Expression Australia to secure interpreters.

VCOSS is the peak representative body for Victoria’s social and community sector, and the state’s leading social advocacy organisation.

We work towards creating a Victoria that is fair, just and inclusive. A society where nobody is trapped by poverty, and everybody is supported to live a life of wellbeing.
