Description

Last chance to hear Managing Curator Tyson Campbell talk about the temporary public art on display now in central Christchurch responding to his theme, The Limits of Language.

Tyson's three-year term as curator ends the following day and the artworks will be removed.

On this guided walk, you will visit each artwork and get the inside story about the artists, the theme, and how public art is made.

  • Time: 10.30am-12pm

  • Start/Finish Point: outside Kilmore Street entrance to Hotel Montreal

  • Pace: easy

  • Route: flat, inner-city circuit

  • Parking: if you travel by car, use on-street parking, eg around Cranmer Square, or a parking building, eg Christchurch Art Gallery off Gloucester Street. Please do not park in the hotel carpark.

  • Numbers are limited, so please book early

  • Cost: Free, thanks to local business support and key funders Christchurch City Council, Creative New Zealand, Rātā Foundation, and The Lion Foundation

  • Dress for the weather
