SCRIPT SQUAD Writing Laboratory

Event description

Calling all aspiring writers aged 10+—come join writer extraordinaire Duncan Sarkies for a dynamic two-day scriptwriting workshop. Duncan says he’s had an amazing idea for an all-ages film script, but he needs you to write it with him!

Through this collaborative group project, budding writers will pick up all kinds of tricks and tips—what makes a great story, what film scripts look like and how to write them, how to shape dialogue, and how to make characters who jump off the page and onto the screen. The workshop will wrap with a read through of work in progress scenes with real-life actors—complete with pizza and a small audience of friendly film fans.
