Join us for the Indie Bookstore Day edition of our Signing Day Saturday series! This is an open house style event, so if you see an author you’d like to meet, feel free to drop in at any point during their time slot to meet them and get your book signed!

Okemos:

About Hard Hitter:

Raelyn DeRose has it all - almost. Great friends, a wonderful- not to mention insanely wealthy- family, and a fulfilling, successful career as one of the best physical therapists around. Her love life, however, is a bit lacking. After a failed engagement, she's on a bit of a hiatus from men, and is definitely feeling the effects of her dry spell. When she catches an article about her childhood best friend and his booming professional baseball career, she can't help reminiscing and feeling as though she may have lost her shot at true love ages ago.

Meet Quinn Casey: Major-League All-Star, hard-hitter, and okay, he's kind of a sex icon. When Quinn finds out he'll be sitting out this season after an injury, he gets called back home to deal with something he thought he'd left in the past. Not only is he confronted with his beyond complicated relationship with his mother, but he's also thrown a curveball when he runs into his childhood best friend at his first physical therapy session. With their history and his new reputation, Quinn knows he's got a lot of work to do if he wants to take his last chance all the way home.

It's obvious after their first run-in that there's still a lot of steam between these childhood sweethearts, but will their passion- and let's not forget the bed-breaking sex- be enough to make up for their past mistakes? Or will this hard-hitter strikeout on love?

About Kaylee Losey:

Kaylee Losey is an independent author from Central Michigan who writes contemporary romance filled with laughs, drama, and a heaping spoonful of spice. She strives to write characters who are strong and independent, yet vulnerable and real. Kaylee lives with her husband, their one-year-old little girl, and two dogs. She is the author of Hard Hitter, Crowd Pleaser, and Game Changer, with the fourth and final installment of the series, The Closer, set to release in August of 2024.

About Joyce Benvenuto:

Joyce Benvenuto was a teacher of English and creative writing for Haslett schools for 18 years. She received her teaching degrees from Michigan State University. She is the founder of the Capital Area Poetry competition for high schools students. Schuler Books donated yearly to the competition prizes. Her readings include Michigan, Vermont, Arizona, and Texas. She is a member of the Lansing poetry club. She will do a reading for this group at the Copper Chimney poetry series in April as part of national poetry month. She is a long standing member of Michigan State University's community writers and is a member of the Grand Isle free library's writing group in Vermont. She has published in various poetry journals over time such as NIMROD.
