Also known as Loidis, as Pendant, or as a half-heard name between–– Huerco S. composes music from the interior, ‘It’s more of an audio presentation than a live set.. I don’t really make live music,’ he admits, and yet what it arrives is precisely that.. something “live” in which form might tremble into feeling..

Much like writing, nothing is gratuitous. Every word has meaning. Every word leads to something. The surface must be an absolutely singing surface, even if what lies beneath is coarse..

If For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) traced a quiet withdrawal––ambient, patient, dissolving––sewn into the floating expanse, then Plonk returned years later, its frayed edge showing, like a memory trying to find its body again, trembling toward a new form, or perhaps another disappearance.

Supported by YL Hooi, whose work is taut and watchful as melody emerges then vanishes, delicate and poised on the edge. The always alluring sconce, And half-forgotten, J and the woolen stars, whether or not it is realised, come together for the first time, as J, Emile Frankel & Ike Zwanikken, to further unravel its shape.
